The Hazel Franks Society
The Hazel Franks Society is composed of members who have included Tiffin University (TU) in their wills or through other planned and deferred gifts. By including TU in your estate plan, your legacy gift will help ensure that the University will remain strong in the years to come.
There are many ways that you can leave a lasting imprint on the students at TU, such as:
- Include Tiffin University in your will with a specified amount, or a percentage
- Designate Tiffin University as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy
- Establish a charitable gift annuity with TU
Who Was Hazel Franks?
Blessed with wit and warmth, Hazel Craycraft Franks '41 was well-known and loved by students, faculty and staff. Hazel was the wife of the late Richard Franks, a spirited businesswoman, a member of TU's Board of Trustees (1995-2011) and loyal friend of the University. During her lifetime, she was involved in, and supported, many activities at TU. Through Hazel's giving during her lifetime and from a significant planned gift, she funded two buildings (Franks and Craycraft Halls) and endowed two funds for them. She was instrumental in providing funding to start varsity football, and responsible for reinvigorating and re-establishing the music program.
